Widgetory — Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Widgetory Android app (the “App”) published by Life Software Lab (the “Developer”). By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The service
Widgetory is a free, ad-supported home-screen widget gallery for Android. It does not offer an account or sign-in. The App may be modified, expanded, or discontinued at any time; the Developer may also decide to charge for future features, in which case pricing will be shown clearly inside the App or on Google Play before you are asked to pay.
2. Licence and restrictions
The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App or its bundled assets (widget designs, fonts, illustrations, animations), reverse-engineer or extract its source code, or create derivative works from it. All trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual-property rights in the App remain with the Developer or its licensors.
3. Your content and permissions
Text, photos, GIFs, colours, and settings you choose for a widget stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App. The App asks for optional permissions only when a widget needs them (for example read-only calendar access for event widgets). You are responsible for having the right to use any photo or image you place in a widget.
4. Third-party services
The App uses Google Play Services, Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and the Google User Messaging Platform. Those services are governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policies, described in the Widgetory Privacy Policy. The Developer does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability or data practices.
5. Updates and availability
The App may need updates to keep working with new Android versions, launchers, or widget APIs. The Developer does not guarantee that the App will remain compatible with every device, launcher, or operating-system version, or that every widget will be available indefinitely. Some features (for example downloading an update or loading an ad) require an internet connection; any data charges from your network provider are your responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App in a way that breaks the law, infringes others’ rights, or interferes with the App, Google Play, or the third-party services it relies on. Do not attempt to bypass the App’s advertising or to redistribute its bundled fonts and designs.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Widget rendering depends on your launcher, display settings, and battery-optimisation rules, which the Developer does not control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you and that cannot be excluded.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The Developer may suspend or terminate the App or your licence if you breach these terms. On termination the licence in section 2 ends and you must delete the App from your devices.
9. Changes to these terms
The Developer may update these terms; the effective date above will change when that happens. Material changes will be published here before they take effect. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Questions about these terms: lifesoftwarelab@gmail.com.
